Chris Hayward

For over two decades, Chris Hayward faithfully served as President of Cleansing Stream International (CSI), following 17 years of dedicated pastoral ministry. Under his leadership, CSI became recognized as one of the most far-reaching ministries of inner healing and deliverance, impacting more than a million lives across 36 nations and partnering with over 7,000 churches worldwide.

Chris’s heart has always been guided by the calling of Isaiah 58:12—to be a “repairer of the breach” and a “restorer of the streets to dwell in.” This mission has shaped CSI’s unique, church-centered approach, empowering and equipping thousands across the globe to walk in wholeness and freedom.

In recent years, Chris’s teaching has increasingly reflected the deep compassion and love of the Father. He believes that one of the greatest needs today is for people to truly know the heart of the Father—a “breach” in many lives that, once restored, can lead to profound healing and transformation.

Chris is also the author of two impactful books: God’s Cleansing Stream and The End of Rejection—each offering hope and insight to those navigating personal or spiritual pain.

Currently based in Fort Worth, Texas, Chris is an occasional teacher at Glory of Zion with Chuck Pierce. He and his wife Karen, who have been married for over 54 years, enjoy a rich family life with their three children and six grandchildren. It is our hope that through this ministry, you too will experience the healing, restoration, and deep connection with the Father that Chris so passionately teaches about.

		“No Longer Ashamed” Wed, May 11, 2022 When Jesus went to the cross, the Scripture says that He took both our sin and our shame. We often believe that, although the Lord the carried our sin, that we should still remain ashamed. The Lord knows that shame itself will create so many problems in our life, so He loves us enough to remove our shame as well.
		“Take Possession of Your Possession” Wed, May 18, 2022 The Scriptures teach us that if we hold offenses against anyone, it will short-circuit our ability to see God answer our prayers. We must find a way to forgive those who offend us; otherwise, our own prayers will be hindered. This teaching will be very practical and encouraging as you are able to let go of the spirit of offense.
		“Casting Down Imaginations” Wed, Jun 15, 2022 2 Corinthians 10:4: “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” Then how does that happen? Well, it also states, in the chapter 10, verse four, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Pastor Chris will take the Scriptures apart and examine each word so that it will bring you great freedom to be able to ultimately break down strongholds.
		“Overcoming Self Hatred” Wed, Jun 29, 2022 The goal of self-hate is to block love of God. It causes us to compare ourselves to other people and to place unfair expectations on others to perform. It is one of the walls covered by his book The End of Rejection. It causes us to try and cover ourselves, or cover our shame with false expectations. It is an excellent teaching; it can set you free.
		“Hope Again” Wed, Aug 17, 2022 This subject looks at disillusionment as being the opposite of hope. It is the realization that something is not what was expected or believed to be. The Scriptures teach us that Elijah was similar to all of us. However, after the confrontation with the 400 prophets of Baal, Elijah ran into the wilderness because of a threat from Jezebel. He was, quite frankly, disillusioned. The story shows how God ministered to Elijah during his sense of hopelessness. It will give you hope again.
		“Hope Beyond the Pain” Wed, Jan 11, 2023 This teaching was taken from a book by the title of Wounded In The Church.” Someone once said, “Never be ashamed of a scar; it simply means you are stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.” It is estimated that over 80 million people have left the organized church because of wounds they received. This teaching, as in the book, attempts to bring hope beyond the pain for those who have experienced woundedness. It is very practical teaching, covering such things as, how to identify the safe church and what is an unsafe church. It will also show you how you can forgive those who never want to be forgiven.
		Vanquishing the Darkness, Pt 1: “The Belt of Truth” Wed, Feb 15, 2023 Ephesians 6 speaks about us putting on the full armor of God. The first piece of equipment mentioned is the belt of truth. To the Roman soldier, this was no ordinary belt. It signified his value within the Army; plus, he was able to carry his various instruments of war. The apostle Paul is teaching us the value of putting truth about us like a belt. This teaching will explain the uniqueness.
		Vanquishing the Darkness, Pt 2: “The Breastplate of Righteousness” Wed, Mar 29, 2023 Scripture states in 2 Corinthians 5:21: “for he made him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him.” The Holy Spirit does not convict believers of sin, but of our righteousness in Christ! This and other truths you will hear in this teaching will encourage you as you put on the full armor of God. (This teaching will begin after ask while shares his prophecy at 22:48.)
		Vanquishing the Darkness, Pt 3: “Feet Shod With the Gospel of Peace” Sat, Apr 29, 2023 This teaching is about advancing God’s kingdom rule over all your promised territory; it is about realizing that we have an ascended position in Christ Jesus. Therefore, each one of us is, as the Scripture states in Ephesians 6:24, “an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.” This teaching will encourage you to recognize your high calling in Christ and begin to walk it out with boldness and courage as His ambassador.
		“Killer Mindsets” Wed, Aug 30, 2023 This teaching covers the subject of conquering the battleground of the mind. If you want to succeed in life, and if you wish to have success in spiritual warfare, it is important that you have the right mindset. This teaching will show you how to have a winning attitude with thoughts and actions that enable you to achieve great things and live up to your potential.
		“End-Time Deliverance” Wed, Nov 8, 2023 This is very important teaching showing how deliverance is meant to be during the end times. You will learn about how an organization can be either centralized or decentralized. If it is centralized, it operates under one governing body. However, if it is decentralized, then the authority and power are given to the individuals and the organization is governed or empowered by the Father’s love. So, get into your spirit so that you will know how to be successful in the end times.
		“Preparing for Battle” Thu, Jun 27, 2024 “He trains my hands for war so that my arms can bend a bowl of bronze”. In Judges 3:1–2, it explains how the Lord allowed some of the nations to stay and challenge the children of Israel by stating, “this was only so that the generations of the children of Israel might be taught to know war, at least those who had not formally known it.” This is why the Lord allows us to go through spiritual warfare in our lives. It is to teach war to those who had not known it before. It is the Lord Himself who will prepare you for battle. Learn about this and many other good things in this teaching.
		“The Soldier’s Handbook on Breaking Soul Ties” Fri, Sep 20, 2024 Our soul consists of our mind, emotions, and will. Therefore, a soul tie is an unseen spiritual, mental, or emotional bond that unites, bonds, or attaches you to someone else in such a strong way that your will is influenced by that person. We learn from Scripture that there are good soul ties and wicked soul ties. This teaching will cover both, and at the end, will show you how wicked soul ties can be broken. It is a practical teaching that can bring about great personal freedom.
		“The Power of the Blood” Thu, Nov 14, 2024 “For the life is in the blood” (Leviticus 17:11). This is one of several Scriptures that runs through the teaching on the subject. Blood is not life itself, but it carries life. The power of the blood of Jesus will bring mercy, forgiveness, redemption, protection, grace, healing, and deliverance to us and destruction to our enemy. Perhaps the most powerful truth of the power of the blood of Jesus is that it brings justification. “Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify or cleanse our consciousness from dead works so that we can worship the living God” (Hebrews 9:14). Please take this teaching in, as it will prove to be one of the most freeing and joyful truths you can learn in your Christian walk.
		“How Can I Forgive the Unforgivable?” Tue, Dec 17, 2024 Hurt and pain can come to you in a number of ways, as there are several types of abuse: physical, verbal, neglect, emotional, sexual, and spiritual. This abuse can leave in its wake a fear of intimacy, an inner deadness or numb feeling on the inside, not feeling cared for, and the deep sense of inner pain and brokenness. The beauty of this teaching is that Pastor Chris leads you in a process of being able to be released from the trauma and pain of this kind of abuse even when the individual responsible is not there. If you are suffering with this kind of pain, be sure to listen to this talk all the way through.
		“When You Have to Dig a New Well” Wed, Jan 15, 2025 God wants you to be able to provide a place for you to prosper. In Genesis 26, beginning in verse 17, the Bible says Isaac reopened the wells that have been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died. Several times he dug a new well until it was stopped up again by the enemy. Finally, he moved to Beersheba and dug a new and final well. This teaching will encourage you to be willing to take a risk, to venture out by faith to achieve what you believe God has promised you. It is a message of hope and encouragement.
		“Shaken But Standing” Wed, Apr 9, 2025 This is taken from Matthew 7:21, where Jesus spoke about the parable of the man who built his house upon the rock, versus the one who built on the sand. Pastor Chris shows how this parable is all about authenticity and intimacy. It is an invitation to know the Father. In this parable, both men experienced rains, winds, and floods. The one exception was the one who had his house on the rock not only heard the word, but acted on it. It is a unique teaching and filled with interesting insights.
		“The Enemy at the Door” Wed, Apr 30, 2025 Pastor Chris discusses the subject of Christian deconstruction in this teaching. This deconstruction comes from individuals who deny the authority of Scripture and ultimately lead Christians to abandon their faith. Deconstruction ideology tries to convince people to reject the idea of an outside source of authority and to trust in their own heart and live their own truth. You will be encouraged to love others and to bless them and to become an open door of the Father’s love. It’s one of the best teachings.
		“The Fourth Watch” Tue, May 27, 2025 In Biblical times, the night watches were divided as follows: the first wasth was from 6pm to 9pm, the second from 9pm to 12am, the third from 12am to 3am, and the fourth watch from 3am to 6am. The fourth watch is quite important, as it signified time being set apart for intimacy with God. In Isaiah 50:4, there is a messianic promise that the Lord would awaken the Messiah morning by morning as having an ear of a disciple. We then find in Mark 1:35, that Jesus would rise long before daylight, and go out to a solitary place to pray. Obviously, the fourth watch. In this very personal teaching, Pastor Chris shares his own experiences, while in a hospital, of having an intimate meeting with His Heavenly Father during the fourth watch. Learn from this teaching and see if you also will be privileged to have this very special fourth-watch time.
		“The Ring, the Robe, and the Stubborn Love of God” Tue, Jun 24, 2025 This teaching is an expanded version of teachings of a similar title. However, Pastor Chris felt this was the best of all, as he also emphasizes the stubborn love of God. Taken from Luke 15:22–24, it emphasizes the great compassion of the Father. You will also discover the beautiful gifts that were given to the son by the Father. The robe, which covers our shame and represents honor and value. The ring, representing authority, identity, destiny, and abundance. So much more is brought out in this teaching that you will find it to be a great blessing!
		“The Gospel of Jesus” Wed, Aug 6, 2025 The two common denominators in sharing the gospel of Jesus is that it will require both courage and the willingness to risk. By these examples, you will see in Scripture and through Pastor Chris’s personal experiences, that both of these items are really required. Courage, because you have to be willing to step out by faith and possibly be rejected. And there is always an element of risk involved when sharing your faith. However, the rewards are totally worth it. You will discover that it is not your responsibility as to how the person you are sharing with responds. We are called to sow seed. By the end of this teaching, you will learn how you can share, in a simple method, the Gospel of Jesus.
